The Power Of A Dog's Nose & Intuition

Every once in a while we'll stumble on an article of a heroic dog who "sniffs out" a health ailment of their beloved human.  It may be in the form of unusual behavior, nosing a specific area of their human's body, nudging, etc.

A good rule of thumb is to never doubt a dog's sniffer or intuition. They smell odors that the human nose can't detect and dogs have a tendency to sense things before we do.  Ever wonder why your furbaby will pace and act out of sorts a couple of hours before a thunderstorm hits or any other extreme weather?  They just know. If something is wrong or isn't quite right, your furbaby will let you know.

The other day, we came across a touching article about dogs who have pawed and sniffed at their owner's breasts because they detected breast cancer.  With Breast Cancer Awareness month right around the corner, we thought this would be fitting.
